Reason for becoming a lawyer:
I love interacting with people, persuading and advocating positions. In college, I took an elective course in "Argumentation and Debate" and quickly realized that I was probably well suited for litigation. I grew up in a large family and learned early the art of negotiation and persuasion. I can think of no better training ground for a future litigation attorney.
What I like best about practicing at GKC&J:
I began my career at Gilbert, Kelly, Crowley & Jennett as a file clerk in 1976. I have literally worked in every department in the firm and, over the years, there has always been a constant: quality people with honest and sound values. It is enjoyable to work in the Gilbert, Kelly environment. I also like the history and longevity of the firm and the instant recognition the firm enjoys with the bench and bar.
Latest hobby/project:
gardening, golf, basketball and woodworking.
Words of Wisdom:
We live and work in a fast pace society. Successful lawyering requires both writing and speaking succinctly. Less is more. |
